We‘re in the DC area and finally supposed to have the ground dug in the next few weeks For our 15x30 pool. No hot tub and only 3.5 to 6 foot deep. We’re told there’s only one guy around here that shoots the gunite. How will weather impact us if the pool is Durand everything ready but it rains hard or there’s any other surprise weather in our areas? How cold can it get and still be safe to shoot?
Waiting for the dig and the gunite. How does weather come into play?

Temperature should be 40F or higher for gunite application.

Cold Weather Gunite Questions
All...thank you for reading my post. We are currently in the middle of our pool build...yes, in December...in Michigan... Our PB moved forward with applying the gunite and my concern is that it was done at very cold temperatures and that the following “curing days” are very cold as well...

I am in Montgomery County MD and my pool was dug in November 2020, shot in December 2020 and plastered in April 2021. Assuming they work quickly after the dig, it should be fine.
Dig Starts this week. Builder is confident we will get the pool dug and gunite completed before winter kicks in. I'm guessing the tile work and plaster may be pushed into the new year - when it warms up. Any concerns or steps he'll need to take to ensure the pool is ok?
