Vinyl pool vs. plaster

My friend just got a above ground vinyl pool, about 20 Ft across x 4 ft deep (I'll get the specs from the manual for when I use PoolMath calculator ). I know how to care for a plaster pool, but I'll get asked to help him, is there anything I need to know? I can still use the same BBB? Bleach is ok I see. Other than we need not measure nor add CH, is there anything else I need to be aware of?

Nothing different about plaster vs vinyl. You should still measure CH. No need to add calcium but you can still get scale.

Oh yes just the page I went to before I asked. Good point on the scale, is it something that'll need treatment? Thanks

Not likely. Keep the CH at or below 350 ppm and scale should not be an issue.
