Vinyl Patch over Patch?

Had a small tear in my in-ground liner pool near the ladder last year. Installed a patch and was good to go. I have reason to believe that patch is leaking now though--the edges are coming up and I am losing some water. Can I install a new patch over the old one or is it best to pull off the old one and start new? I am not sure how well stuck the old one is--if I pull it off am I gonna cause more problems than I already have?

It's perfectly fine to install a larger patch over a patch. Just make it large enough that you have a good overlap.
Get some good Boxer glue and follow the instructions.
I like to use a hard roller to go over it once I have it in place. That seems to seal the edges a little better.
