I have a picture somewhere, but can't find it. The new look is the brighter color you see on the near side of the photo by the pool light and picture of my toe. As your eye travels down you will see it get dark and that is where my kids swim to the bottom and push off as its 8 feet deep. The brand is Latham Onyx Liner 15'x28'Hello. Any chance you have a picture of the liner in the pool when it was new? Do you recall name/brand of the liner??

My kids swim to the bottom and where the pool walls are angled and push off. When they do this it leave a permanent dark mark. Our shallow end is completely dark as its been completely walked on everywhere. If I took a picture of the shallow end you wouldn't notice as it's all dark. The deep end in the picture you can still see some of the original lighter color and speckles and then the dark spots where they pushed off.How are you walking on the bottom of the deep end ?
Our pool installer put down a layer of some sort of concrete like substance that allowed him to form a smooth surface.@JamesW has mentioned here about organics being under the liner perhaps thats a possibility? What was it like on the pool surface before putting the liner in?
