Vacuuming the pool

Hey everyone.... Ok so this is weird so I just opened my pool. Did all the opening procedures and then vacuumed it. So I cleaned it and like 4 hours later the dirt was back right where I just cleaned hours ago. Does anyone else have this problem? The bottom of my pool is not really smooth so dirt does form in spots but I just cleaned it and 4 hours later the dirt is back.... That is weird is it something else and not dirt?

I have TF-100 test kit, my cya level is 40. I had my chlorine at shock level for 24 hours so I'm letting it get down to normal level

How does the dirt react to the pool brush. If it puffs into a cloud it's algae.

Yes it does that..... Ugh I dont get what's the best way to get rid of it....I just did the 24 shock level

I would still do the OCLT tonight to confirm you need to SLAM. Easy, Cheap way to avoid it if possible. Link-->Overnight Chlorine Loss Test

Technically you've not met all three criteria. Seeing even dead algae is no no because it could mean your still killing off active algae. It may be the time to clean the filter carts.

So I did the overnight test and it past...I didn't lose any ppm so if I vacuum and then scrub where it comes back should that help? I mean when I opened it I pretty much did the slam for 24 hours after opening it?

1. OCLT FC loss <=1

3. Clear pool. (you don't have a clear pool.

I've had it where the pool is really dirty and a lot gets stirred up while vacuuming and then settles back down later on.
I've also had it where my filter wasn't working right and the pool became incredibly cloudy as I vacuumed and then all of the dirt settled back down on the bottom after a day or so.

Are you vacuuming from outside of the pool or getting in and doing it? I do it from the outside and go very slow to avoid stirring anything up anymore than necessary.

I used to be in the pool and vacuum but I stopped cause like you said everything moves around. I do it outside now. It's just weird that about 4 hours later it was all back

Ok so I just checked my CC and it shows I have no CC. After checking the FC I added 5 drops of R-0003 like it says and it should have turned pink but it stayed clear. So what does that mean?

Do you live near a busy highway? I do and get a lot of fine black diesel soot from truck exhaust.
