Vacuuming sand out of pool

It was at 12psi just before cleaning and 11psi after cleaning
OK so it the needle goes to zero when the pump is off, the gauge is likely fine. And that needle says 16 and 17. If 16 is clean then you generally don't have to clean until 20. You are welcome to do so anytime sooner just because.

Pay no attention to the cleaning time arrow thingies.

Do the robots that people here on the forum typically use catch sand/silt/dirt?
I'm still using the stock mesh basket and not the fine silt/sand one, and it gets up the light cloud accumulation on bottom I would see when brushing. With nothing to stir the bottom, the accumulation didn't make it to the drain very well. Now that we use the pool almost daily the bottom stays stirred and cleaner on its own, and the robot is parked more than it's used for the floor but still let it scrub sides and tile line.
