So I just opened my pool after having it shut down for the winter.

I used my leaf skimmer to scoop as much leaves possible, there are still a lot of scattered leaves but I can see the pool bottom.

My pool water is sitting Above my skimmer, I can vaccum to waste while I get it down to around 3/4 of the skimmer, where the water line should be, but after that can I leave the remaining debris until after I balanced the pool so that I can vacuum to the filter?

Not really. Get ALL the visible debris removed from your pool. The consumes FC as it oxidizes the organic matter.

Get it all removed and your pool becomes more stable more quickly.

So you typically keep adding water to the pool as you vacuum it to waste?

I just hate placing that much pool water in front of the neighbours home, the grading on the street is bad and my backwash pools in front of one neighbour.

Is it really an issue if I Vacuum to filter before the water is balanced?
