Vacuum to waste

Does anyone know of a way I can use my sta-rite prc75 cartridge to vacuum to waste.

There is a way, but I don't really recommend it. You can remove the cartridge and leave the filter case open. Most of the water will come out of the filter, probably in a large spray, and only a little will go back into the pool. You might need to protect the pump from getting too wet. This can make a huge mess, which you have little control over, but it would have the desired effect.

Is there a second plug in the bottom of the filter housing? If so change the plug out to a nipple and valve, that should give you the abilety to pump to waste.
