Vacuum for Intex

Ohhh, okay. Right now I am concerned with the big stuff (leaves, seeds, etc) that are settling at the bottom. At some point the finer particles will be a concern I’m guessing. ?
Well, the filter will run when you aren't running the cleaner itself :D So that sounds like the perfect scenario! We liked it, but couldn't justify having to adjust the filter settings to use it when we can just hook up our manual vac and clean & play at the same time :D (since we're out there, lol)
Once our current pump dies and we upgrade with a stronger pump, we will likely get it again ;)

Definitely! I’m not sure I’m ready to undertake your sweet set up. ?

Change of topic... what a-frame ladder do you have? Are you happy with it?

We "splurged" and got a great deal on this safety all plastic ladder and could not be happier! That is the exact ladder we have, but not the price we paid ;)

It's not rock-solid if not anchored/centered (although DH & myself aren't featherweights, heeheehee) But it is FAR more stable then the skinny metal pole & step ladders included in the pool package! Our kiddos happily jump off it (whoops did I admit that? lol) And we've hop/jumped from the 3rd step w/o issue (taking care of course)

Thanks! I was looking at flow rate. Hadn’t considered hp. Oiy.
Well I was wrong, I finally found this info about the Intex 1600GPH pump/filter
Powerful 0.5 HP/1,600 GPH keeps your water sparkling clean (pump flow rate: 1600 GPH, system flow rate: 1500 GPH)
I think that is similar to ours and you may run into action issues, if you don't switch to bypass/recirculate to run the Intex Auto Cleaner

Good to know! ? Same!!!! We definitely need something sturdier as well but most are out of stock or prices are crazy high! Now off to find a miracle deal. Lol

I see they offer a stabilizer? Did you go with one?

Balance is good! ?
True! But it doesn't tip or rock, it just "flexs", not sure what word to use... It does not feel at all unstable (like the cheapo ladders included, lol) It's not unnerving, just something I thought should mention, depending on personal preferences :D I noticed it mentioned in reviews, and again it doesn't bother us or even remotely seem less-sturdy :D It takes 2 people to move it around and especially to lift it over the pool edge ;)

No that’s good to know! Thanks! I’m just being overly cautious given the rare occasion my aging Mom or MIL decide to get in. ?

I just want to add that I got the Intex automatic vac a week ago and it works beautifully with my current set up. I have an Intex 12 x 24 rectangular Ultra frame and upgraded to the 3000 GPH filter pump. It was definitely worth the upgraded pump because that vacuum speeds around like a race car and picks up all the sand, leaves and debris, except for just a little bit left in the corners, which I am going to need to use a manual vac. I leave the vac and pump running for about eight hours overnight. The hose that came with the automatic vac is the perfect length for the 12 x 24 rectangular Intex. During the day I have the vacuum detached and run the return jet on the top level of the water.

I do use the Intex Auto cleaner - posted early in thread. His name is Daniel.
