we have this and LOVE it! However we just switched to the Hayward wide mouth through wall skimmer and pvc pipe tubing. Can’t figure a way to run it since we had to switch the jet from the intex one that comes with it. Any ideas?

It's just a regular Intex hose. The ones that come with the vac have a rotating connection that keeps the hose from getting tangled up, but the connectors leak by design. For this reason, I had to use a regular hose long enough to get over the rail before using the vac hoses so that it didn't leak on to the ground.
I don't know the specifics of the PVC I used. I just took an Intex hose to the hardware store and found something that would fit. The Intex collars have a different thread pitch, so they don't screw down tight unless you add an extra rubber washer. But with the extra washer, they worked fine for me.
Another vote for the Intex Auto Pool Cleaner. The pecans on our pecan tree are getting bigger and the squirrels are making a mess of things. When I first looked in the pool this morning, I saw the bottom had lots of half eaten pecans all over. I had no expectations that the vacuum would actually pick them up. So I was quite surprised when I opened it and found that it was already full of half-eaten pecans. I emptied the vacuum and put it back in. Hopefully it will continue doing the great job it has been and I just need to empty it more often.
Now to find the ideal solution to make the squirrels quit eating over the pool... And maybe a solution for the crepe myrtles that keep blooming and dropping flowers in the pool...

I've bought several vacuums and hoses that attach to the filter. None keep the dirt out. The dirt always backwashes into the pool. I just gave up and siphon the bottom with a hose. I made a homemade one with duct taping a hose to a pole, found an old vacuum head, duck taped that to the hose. It takes about 10 minutes to clean the pool bottom. I lose water but fill back up if need be (I only use about a 5lbs bucket a week). I have well water (I get a truck of filtered water for the fill up) but I use some iron gone if needed. I do that about once a week, I cover it so it doesn't get really dirty. Cheaper than buying expensive filters. This is a take down pool so I'm not going to get all fancy. I just want my kids to have fun and stay cool.
