It may also be hard to buy 3 pucks and not a $150 bucket of them. Then you'd also need a buy a floater because you don't already have one. So it's a bit of a PITA to not do much better than a clear water SLAM.

IMO, I'll call it half a dozen or six.

Well I have to thank all you guys for Teaching me that Although I have to admit that when Kim told me to figure out what the pool wanted it’s pH to be (and I absolutely agreed!) I told my husband that he looked at me like I was a bit crazy….

My local Safeway grocery store sells individually wrapped single pucks. Just a matter of geography, I guess.

Just an update: we got back from vacation and the pool has been covered since last Saturday and it’s been so hot here, in the 90s, and I slammed to 12 before we left and I came home today and the chlorine is at 7 with no CCs.
