We are going on a 5 day vacation soon. I have a couple of questions

I will boost my FC to slam level before i go, and float a couple tabs (5 days of tabs should effect the CYA by much at all).

With the FC at slam level is it OK to leave the solar bubble cover on? Should i take the cover off? wouldn't leaving the cover on extend life of what chlorine is in the pool?

Take it up to shock level and put the cover on and it should be fine. You'll eliminate most of the UV losses that way. When you get back and peel the cover back, don't be alarmed if you get a whiff of chlorine and/or the CC level seems high. That's normal since the surface can't breath. A few hours of sun will fix that.
