OK, not sure if this is a good idea or not but I am almost done setting some of the waterline tile (60 of them). I have been doing this with the EZPatch 4FS.
Grouting the tile is a pain under water. It seems like twice as much dissolves in the water than what I'm getting into the grout lines.
I want to drain the water to below the tile which would need to be about 3-4" right now. 3" in my pool I estimate at 1300gal.
I can drain that out with my pump in about 10-20 minutes
I am on well water, that would take about 5-7 hours to put 3-4" back in with my well pump. Plus the wear and tear on the well filtering system.
I have a spare booster pump. I was thinking I could conserve the water and pump it into an Above ground pool placed onto my deck.

Not sure flow rate on the 3/4HP booster pump but my guess is it would transfer in about an hour?
Only concern about the pool is what the pool would do to the pavers on my deck. I"m calculating it as 103lbs/sqft
Crazy idea?
