Hi. We would like to cut our electric bill down by going to a 2-speed pump, running on low, except to clean and backwash. We have a 150# Sand Dollar (SD40) with zeosand. Crown Pools said we can't use a 2-speed, because the LOW setting will not provide enough pressure to push the contaminants into the sand filter (or something along those lines). Is this true? I don't know how to create a SIG line, but our pool info is as follows:
16x32 Doughboy buried 3' with 7' deep end
1 skimmer, 1 return inlet
25 mil print liner
Pentair Dynamo 1hp, 115v
150# SD40 sand filter
New BBB'er and loving it!
A second question: We need better circulation. Since we only have one return inlet, we are trying to decide whether to have a 2nd return inlet installed, or try to use THE CIRCULATOR for better circulation. Which would be a better solution to better circulation? The Circulator is cheaper and easier
Any advice on these two issues would be greatly appreciated!
Any advice
