In middle of DIY build and went to set the Skimmers today, and they are not punched to accept the 'mounting screws' within the flange of the Faceplate. The Pool Manufacturer punched the outside flange screws--which allowed me to mount the skimmer--BUT these will be 'outside' the Finish Flange Faceplate when I install the Liner (whereas the inside mounting screws would have been hidden/under the Finish Faceplate). A couple ideas:
*Duct tape over those screw heads to prevent/stop the liner from rubbing against them?
*I'm also using wall padding, so hopefully that is another barrier to prevent any rubbing
*Try to find Flat Head screws to depress them even a little more (Pan Heads were used right now)
Also, since the inside mounting screws are used to locate the Skimmer after the liner is installed, I'm guessing I'll need to take my time since I'll have no real reference point for the Skimmer Flange (since these screws are outside that Flange).
Hopefully I explained this all so it is understandable lol.
