Upstate NY Sharing our dig

Pools with autocovers are near and dear to my heart. I love to see pictures of the guts of their installations. I see that you may have grown tired of hearing the neighbors splashing about on hot summer days! I know we did, but no more! Looking great!

Good news! PB took out the wrong liner and the correct liner will be driven in by 9 am. The liner came 20 min early! woo hoo!! Pb said when the manufacturing company did the wrong they push all jobs aside and put a rush on it. In this case they did. I praise them. Now to pump out out the water in the pool and around the outside of the pool.

Do you think you are going to be happy with the full steps? I am trying to figure out corner vs. full...I have 2 boys. If DH didn't veto it, I'd also have opted for some of tanning ledge.

Time will tell. Just this morning my neighbor was checking out the pool (she has a pool w/ steps on corner of pool no sunledge), and said she wished she could of done something like this. Everyone wants to sit on the steps, kids w their parents adults just to hang out in. I have a feeling I will not regret it. I like to be in the water, but not all the way, it will be my hang out spot.

Starting to freak out ~ Very new pool owner. We started filling the pool friday to safety ledge, cut out the light on Monday, continue to fill, Tuesday cut out the returns and filter and back filled. We are all excited that it's done. However, we are waiting for the electrician to hook up the pump. Here is the freak out part..... because the filter is not running I have not added any chemicals to the pool. How long can the pool sit before chemicals can be added? Water has been sitting all weekend and so on.....Should I be adding something?

Its not that bad I would add a few gallons of liquid chlorine.I have to say your pool looks great thanks for the pics!!

Adding some chlorine in the evening is a good idea. Pour slowly walking around the pool, and then brush the pool to mix in the chlorine.

If you add chlorine without some brushing/mixing you could damage the liner.
