Hello all. I am new to trouble free pools. We are located in south Texas and have a 15 gallon chlorine pool that is over 17 years old. (Poll was already in when we bought the house). Having to have filter replaced due to leakage and are looking at replacing pool pump, waterfall pump, and heater that has not worked in last 6 years. It is all Jandy equipment and has a hand held PDA to control everything. Have had 4 estimates and they have different quotes regarding my board. Since we now have to upgrade to variable speed pumps, 2 say I need a whole new board (@ $1500) and 2 say I just need a multiplex board (@ $150). Does anyone know which is correct? I do not care about phone wifi features and don't mind still using PDA. Any help is appreciated

Welcome to TFP.

If your Jandy PDA system is 17 years old, you need to upgrade the board for VS pump support.

You can confirm that by looking for VS pump settings within the PDA setup menus. If you don't find any, you need the IQ30-RS Upgrade Kit.

You may be able to just upgrade your CPU card. It depends on the age of your PCB.

Show us pictures of your Aqualink board.

@PoolGate can confirm.
