I want to upgrade my summer waves pool pump to an Intex sand filter pump. I have a 14x42 pool and had decided to go with the 16" pump rather than 14".
I notice they have a new version of the 28651EG pump. My question is does anyone know the difference from the previous version? The old version is less expensive.
Many thanks!

Welcome to the forum! I bounced around Amazon a bit and compared two Intex 16" versions:
- 26651EG ($185.99): https://www.amazon.com/Intex-Krystal-Filter-16-inch-110-120V/dp/B07F3FBT2Z/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1550517897&sr=8-2&keywords=intex+krystal+clear+sand+filter+pump+for+above+ground+pools,+16-inch
- 28651EG ($163.99) : https://www.amazon.com/Intex-Krystal-Filter-16-inch-110-120V/dp/B00GSPHS7E

On Amazon, I'm not seeing any major differences other than about $22. They have the same flow rate and GPH ratings. The only thing I couldn't compare on that site was their horse power. One shows .75 HP, the other didn't clarify.

Texas Splash already provided you with the comparison info.

All I wanted to add is we did the same thing (converted/upgraded to Intex sand filter) and never looked back! The difference is incredible. The maintenance is a breeze! You won't regret it!
