Umbrella holes

We are in the decking phase and looking for input on umbrella holes. So far we have added holes where the two red dots are in the tanning ledge. The sun comes from plan right (S) and we have a 30’ tree line directly behind our back fence (E). The house shades everything by 6pm.

If anybody has suggestions based on your experience I’d love to hear, thanks!

Why do you have one right on the edge? Is that correct? I have two, equally spaced on the sundeck. We usually only use the one on the right (where the umbrella is in the pic). Be advised if you leave the cap off, stuff accumulates in the hole and rots (and stinks). Make sure to clean it regularly if the cap is off.

Thank you - noted about the cap! Yes. We have one near the middle bubbler and one on the front right corner with morning and midday sun in mind to shade the tanning ledge. I’m wondering if I should put any around the pool in the decking. Seems most spots we would want to be sitting would not have an opportunity for umbrella due to the orientation of the pool.
