Ugh...forgot the union nut...looking for 1.5" union

Installed a Crystal Pure SWG from INYO today. Everything was going smoothly until I glued one of the unions for the salt cell without the nut. My pool is plumbed with 1.5" pipe. The kit came with both 2" and 1.5" unions, but it looks like only 2" unions are available separately.

Anyone have a part number for a compatible 1.5" union? Or am I stuck with a reducer?

Anyone with 2" plumbing save their 1.5" unions and want to sell them?

Been there done that. You have enough straight pipe to just cut it, slide on the nut and user a coupler?

You could also use the 2" with a reducer inserted that will then accept the 1.5" pipe.

I just bought 1.5" unions at my local plumbing supplier (Victoria BC). I wouldn't think they'd be too hard to find elsewhere.

It is probable that the threads on the SWG are proprietary and not matching what you find at the hardware store.

I had assumed that he was just going to plumb in a whole new union to his system and leave the cell glued to the pipe. A picture probably would have been worth a thousand words here.

Swg cells are not glued to pipes. They are attached with proprietary Union fittings
