Well, for starters your CYA is not 33. Its 40ppm....there are no "middle numbers" like "33" so your SLAM number should be 16ppm of FC.

And some days it seems you may get two additions of liquid chlorine but not a lot more.

Other than those things.... I don't know what else to tell you??????

Since the filter is new to you, i would suggest opening it up and have a look at the sand, if its all gummed up or in solid chunks then get new sand. If the sand just looks dirty try doing a deep cleaning of sand filter.
