Trouble with CYA

I just tested my cc again and it was .5. I made a mistake earlier and I should have retested right away. To be on the safe side, I decided to add 2 gallons of liquid chlorine. I am a few days into the slam and I don't want to take any chances and have to start all over again. I will test it again tomorrow morning to see where I am. Thank you for your help.
 
My slam was a success. I have been quiet as I unfortunately ran out of some chemicals towards the end of my slam and I was waiting for my replacements in the mail. I received them today and everything checks out great! I enjoyed my pool with some friends and my family over the Memorial Day weekend. It looked great.
