The wife is having issues with the 1500 dollar RJ60+ price. I told her the ROI will be worth it. Considering the cost of LC and using about 1/2 gallon a day. Anyone good at maths that can figure out the savings. I'm not entirely sure how to change LBs of chlorine to gallons of 10% at 10.88 for 2 gallons.

I look at it as you are prepaying for your LC now for the future. So LC prices could continue to rise but you have locked in your chlorine for the next 5 -7 years (depending on your usage). You can even consider the savings of mileage to and from place to purchase LC,

Missed the 1/2 gallon a day. That is 182 gallons a year. Here is the better calculation...1.5 year payback. No brainer.

Thank you, hopefully she will get on board. Currently I use pucks when we go out of town.
You can also simply enjoy more pool time and not be looking for jugs of chlorine when demand is high and stock is low all over the place.

That’s the biggest advantage to me. Not uncommon for me to be gone for 2 weeks in the heat of the summer. When I come back my FC is the same and water is perfect.
My cell may be going bad after 3 1/2 years but if it does I would buy a replacement in a heart beat especially seeing what liquid chlorine cost!

It would make 29 FC in 13k gallons per 24 hours, or 18,125 lifetime FC during its 15k lifespan.
Each FC would cost $0.055. Five point five cents per FC. For our hearing impared members, ASL has the perfect explanation of these #s.
However. Even if it's grossly overstated it's still a beast of a unit. If we use the IC60's 2 lbs a day for 10k hours, it's 7500 lifetime FC and $0.13 per FC. The actual #s will fall somewhere between the two. If you paid $1500 for the install, it would still cost at most $0.33 per FC, and future cells would be the cheaper price with no paid labor involved.
Now lets do liquid chlorine. Each gallon of 10% bleach will get you 7.7 FC in 13k gallons.
$4 jug = $0.52 per FC
$5 jug = $0.64 per FC
$6 jug = $0.77 per FC
$7 jug = $0.91 per FC.
As great as the math works in your favor here for SWG, it's really the jug lugging that's the draw. Per Circupools #s, you *won't* be lugging 2354 jugs. That's $11,769.50 if they were $5 jugs, or $999 for the RJ60.

As a professional, I recommend extreme caution with this approach. In my experience, there could be significant repercussions.
Significant, more like detrimental repercussions. This guy would be paying child support for the next 11 years. Probably even spousal maintenance

My personal opinion is this - whoever takes care of the pool gets to decide what equipment is used to take care of said pool. When my IC40 died and I told my wife the new IC60 would cost $1200 (pre-COVID purchase), her response was, “but we can still swim in the pool tomorrow, right?” In other words … she didn’t care so long as it was someone else’s job to keep the pool beautiful. Tell her that having an SWG will allow you more time to do all the other chores on the honey-do list …
