Tri Star Hayward 2 speed pump and Aqualogic PS-16 not working on low speed

I have 2 speed Tris Star Hayward pump wired and configured for high and low speed operation. However, when I click on low speed button on the controller the pump does not respond. Also, if I click on filter once the high speed works, but when I click the second time to engage low speed the pump does not work.

I am attaching some pics of the wiring and the pump wiring diagram. Can someone take a look to see if maybe I have something incorrectly wired.

AUX1 seems wired for low speed and configured as such on the controller. The pump does run on low speed, but I need to use service mode. I configured the controller for a 2 speed pump and enable low speed on heater 1 so not sure what I am missing.

I just posted the wiring connection on the pump. Green is ground. Black is C or Common. Blue and Red are the hot leads .. I think.

I tried switching Blue and Red but neither low speed or high speed worked.

I'm not an electrician but it looks like Red is tied together on the line out and should be the common, blue is the hot from pump and black is hot from Aux1, but that doesn't look like the correct wiring.

Here is a link I did a while back with the wiring for mine, looks very similar Hayward 2 speed Tristar pump and AquaPlus controller

I agree now that I look at it more closely. Red is tied together and therefore common. This was wired originally by the installer for single speed pump. I inherited the pool and replaced the old pump with a new 2 speed pump.

So based on your wiring I should connect the controller to terminal on pump as follows:

Red wire or common to L2 terminal.
Blue wire or high speed to L1 terminal.
Black wire or low speed to C on old terminal or A on new terminal.

I will give it a shot and let you know.
