Hi, my name is Kellogg. Brand new pool owner. I live in Southeast Michigan, have a 20 x 40 inground liner pool with salt system with Jandy equipment. I didn’t get very much instructions on how to operate anything he showed up the day after I had hip replacement surgery. I listened the best I could but he was fast and it was more about how to vacuum, etc. rather than how to set timers and how long things should run. I’m hearing a low whining this morning coming after the gas comes on for the heater to run. I’ll play a video. You have to listen closely to hear it. Does anyone know what this may be caused from? I did contact my pool builder and he is calling a manufacturers rep regarding it. Anyone have any suggestions in the meantime what it might be.

Whining from a gas heater typically means the flow is low. Do you have a variable speed pump? If so, turn up the RPMs up until the whining goes away, then add another 100 or 200 RPMs.

If you have a two speed pump, turn it to high.
