To sink or not to sink?

I have a question that has been on
my mind. Should I let my pool cleaner sink before turning it on or just put it in the water and then turn it on and let the propeller force it down?

I turn it on as soon as it's in the water.....

I let mine sink. Takes about 20sec. Then I go plug in the power supply and run the program.

Honestly, i don't think it matters. I think all robots nowadays have motor protection circuits where if it senses no water, the unit shuts down.

The decent is so slow that there's no damage that will be done.

It won't hurt it, and I do both since I had mine.
