To ‘DRAIN’ or ‘NOT’ to drain?

Hi.

we Purchased an ntex 10 x 30 easy set... The obvious. Pool was great for two weeks, the little pump that came with the pool took a dump, two weeks in.

Rather than a replacement, we opted to do an upgrade and pay for the difference. We
purchased the intex crystal clear sand 1200 w/ adapters. In this time, the pool sat in constant rain that we’ve had and heat, for About 2wks with no pump....

the pump arrived today, and while my husband says just hook up the new pump, and it will clear it up with some help, in my opinion, I don’t even want to go near the water. Should the water be drained at this point? Such a newbie. Pool is black!
