Tiny yellow bugs everywhere! I want them gone!!!

I just installed an above ground pool for my family to enjoy this summer and we are getting thousands of tiny yellowish brown bugs all around the edge of the liner. Many of them are floating on the surface of the water as well.

How do I get rid of them? They seem to bite and be itchy when they get on us. This is NOT a great start to our summer. HELP!

Hopefully you can see what I'm referring to in theses pictures. Of course the majority of them are congregated in and around the skimmer but also on the surface of the water.

Where is your FC (free chlorine) at? Most of the time having your FC at the correct level for your pool will take care of bugs in the water.

Those dang "noseeums". Enough heat outside will eventually run them off. Spray and pray as they say!

Yikes....just discovered the same tiny bugs in our pool when we vacuumed tonight. We had 6” of rain on Thursday, and another 4” yesterday....ick.

Looks like springtails, if that’s the case mix 2 tablespoon of dawn dish soap in a spray bottle filled with water and spray the edges of your pool.It messes with their ability to swim and they drown. I went through this situation a month ago . It took two applications a couple days apart but they will e gone . Chlorine has no affect on them. I put some in a jar of 10% chlorine and they just swam around. Good luck, they are gross
