Timer not rotating

The timer for my pool is not rotating. The visible gear at the top is not rotating either. I can manually turn the timer on and the pump runs fine.

The timer is hooked up to a 220v breaker. Since the pump works fine, I kind of assume that the timer needs to be replaced. Any specific things I should know to fix, replace it? (Besides being careful around the 220v!).
