Timer gear spins but not tripping on/off

Power is constantly on for the pump. I need to turn it on/off with the breaker.
The timer gears in the rear are spinning.
When the timer trips on/off nothing happens.
The manual override button rotates with a crisp snap but it has no effect on the power to the pump.

Is this easily fixable or do I need to get a new timer?

The on-off trippers work the same switch you turn on and off by hand.

If the thing won't shut off, that switch is bad. Find the parts manual and see if it's available separately and compare the cost to a whole new timer. My gut feeling is that the pricing won't be too different and the labor to replace the whole switch will be less.
