Timeframe to remove forms for decking

Looking for some advice on the timeframe one should wait before removing forms for decking. I had the concrete for the decking poured yesterday and the subs pulled the forms after only a few hours. Is this normal? Something tells me that this is not the ideal way to let concrete cure and I may be left with a sagging and cracked deck in the not too distant future. They poured about 4 inches of concrete with a beam along the outside edge of anywhere between 8-10 inches.

It's pretty normal. Once the concrete is set, it's not going anywhere. I haven't done concrete work in years and years but we would often wait until the next day, mostly because it was late when we finished, but it wasn't uncommon to pull the forms in the afternoon if we poured that morning.
