Time to replace Waterway pump?

Our Waterway 2-speed pump is not working on high speed. This has happened before, and I replaced both capacitors and it ran like a champ for a few more years. When it happened last week, it sounded like the same problem. No problem, I thought, get out the trusty screwdriver and replace the capacitors again. Now it runs on low, but high speed it only runs for a minute before it trips the thermal breaker. We got almost 10 years from the old girl, so maybe it's time to replace. Do you have any suggestions for a replacement?

Or, maybe I'm being pessimistic. If you have another idea what might be causing the problem, please let me know.

We seem to have the exact same pump/motor set-up. Mine is about 7 years old and does fine all summer but the bearings whine when it gets cold. I've been prepping for a motor swap (2hp down to 1.5hp). Mine is wired 110V, so I ended up thinking I would go with the following when I swap mine:

Shaft Seal: Mfr P/N 319-3010B; cross-referenced to PS-200 (basic); I will get the PS-200V/PS3867 (upgraded)
Faceplate O-ring (Small): Mfr P/N 805-0330
Volute Housing O-ring (Large): Mfr P/N 805-0001-SPL

Of course you always have the option to skip the motor swap and just go VSP if you wish and have the $$$.

Thank you for the feedback! Ours is wired 110. It's interesting that you're going down in HP - that thought had not occurred to me. Our pump seems a bit overpowered for our pool, so this might be a good option.

I used to get all hung-up on HP (a guy thing I guess - ha) until I learned more about true water demands here at TFP. Plus, the actual HP you receive can be misleading from what is listed on the label. But when I was shopping around, I believe I couldn't find a 2HP, 2-speed 110V motor which is why I went with the slightly smaller HP. In doing so I needed to downsize the impeller slightly, but I think it will all work out.
