When adding liquid chlorine for a SLAM, does the 10 minute rule referenced in this article apply for how long to wait until testing Cl levels? Or is advisable to wait longer?

Jeff, I would like to clarify. That article, referencing 10 minutes, is the time recommend for chemicals to mix before adding other chemicals and/or swimming. Basically saying that 10 minutes is long enough to safety mix and get out of the way for swimmers. It's not for re-testing your levels. If you add certain chemicals, you will have to wait longer (perhaps 1-2 hrs or more) to re-test for a new reading. The only exception I can think of is for people who are assumed to have ammonia in the water which requires a very aggressive (initial) chlorinating process of testing FC in 10-minute intervals. But for the normal situation, that' doesn't apply.

Does that make sense?
