Tile issue, grout, coping stone

So here is my issue, my pool guy started the tile before laying coping stone! So I know have about a two inch gap between grout and tiles.

so my question is can someone lay tiles over grout and take to the coping? We have this cool tile and I’m afraid will see mostly the grout

one option was pencil tile or another tile to lay over grout…. Wide like neither, and I’m afraid it will look off stick out a quarter inch between grout and where current tiles are.
To tear our would be a mess!

Nice tile. Crappy installation.

I don't think tile will stick lung term being put on top of grout. And as you observe the thickness will not match.

I think what you have is the best you will get. Any fix will only look like a mismatched job.
