I now have an Intex 24' round 52" deep ultra above ground vinyl pool. I am wondering if it is possible to get a thru wall skimmer that will work on it, and if so, what is a good one, where do I find it and how do I install it or do I have to get it installed?

Yes, Hayward makes a number of them that will work. They are easily installed yourself. There are a number of threads here with pics to show you how to do it. Just search "Hayward Dyna-skim".
Some people choose to split the butterfly gasket in half to avoid needing to drain any water. I chose to drain just below where the skimmer would go. Either way works. You'll see what I'm talking about once you see how they are installed.
