Thinking of swg for agp. What size and can you install yourself?

I’m wondering if I’d really like the swg. Right now I’m testing every day because of recent algae in my pool. I don’t know what size I should get or where to buy. I asked my local pool place and they don’t sell or install them. They only sell the salt. Also would this be hard for my husband and I to install ourselves? Can it rust the pool?

An SWG is a great DIY project. When looking for an SWG, first consider the size of your pool (21K). So you want an SWG rated for at least twice that size so that the cell doesn't have to run a max output all the time. I would recommend hopping online to Discount Salt Pools (DSP). They have a great page that shows SWG comparisons, so you can see a lot of info at a glance.

Be sure to consider things like your current electric at the pad (120 or 220), amount of plumbing space available, etc. DSPs also has several very good videos on YouTube.
