The Return of the Pool That Just Won't Die

No that's ok but.. you always want to make sure you know how much you are adding... It helps you to find a pattern and keeps from wrecking equipment...
IF pool math tell you to add 32 oz and you have 40 left, something like that is fine but you don't want to just blind add any chemicals

Youre ok.. I did the same thing... Trying to stay ahead over night.
With your CYA being roughly 30, try not to go above 16 with any additions. 16 will be your next slam target when we get you up to 40 CYA so you are still in the clear. Once you get into the 18 range you are "super shocking" which is normally reserved for mustard algae... and if you maintain that level too long it starts to damage your equipment.
So just be careful and try to keep you levels in a realm of control

It is difficult to estimate when your pool will stop being cloudy. Make sure to backwash when your pressure rises 25%. Sand filters work best when they are a little dirty, so don't backwash before the pressure rises 25%.

Brush daily and the more frequently you test and adjust FC will help speed it along. Unfortunately sand filters take longer to clear, so you'll need some Pool Owner Patience (POP).

Itll be suspended particles in the water.. You wont see any in the basket. Too fine to get stuck there. ITs the sand's job to grab that stuff.

Psi not getting above 20 is ok. That means there isn't anything big restricting flow. A slightly dirty filter is more effective than a too clean or too dirty filter.. If it gets up to 22-23, then it time for a backwash
