The Pool Cleaner (Hayward) stopping intermittently

My 2-wheel pool cleaner stops every minute or so and then starts up again. In the last few months I have replaced the rear skirts and the turbine/vanes. It was doing a great job after the skirts were replaced until the vanes got jammed up and no longer stayed on the turbine. It’s working okay but not as good as it used to and just stops once in awhile. It seems to be part of the “timed routine”. I am looking at replacing the shafts but am not sure if that’s the problem or if I did something wrong putting it back together after installing the turbine. It looks right but anything’s possible. Has anyone else had this issue? Thank you!

If the turbine vane spins freely when the unit is fully assembled, it might be one of the steering cams. Maybe one of the gear teeth has worn down.

Chris, have any luck with your cleaner yet? It's been a week with no replies here so I want to keep your question active and visible before half the forum goes to sleep for the winter. Ha.
Thanks. No luck yet. I replaced my he skirts but may need to replace some gears. I’m trying to decide if it’s worth buying more pieces or getting a new bottom replacement.

Thanks. I was wondering the same thing. I replaced the turbine and vanes, and the skirts. I’m wondering if I should replace gears or buy the entire bottom replacement. These little parts are adding up to about what the bottom would cost.

That makes me think a gear somewhere is worn and when the wheels have resistance on them, it's skipping.
