Cheap vinyl liners with Ca filler. Out-dated manufacturer manuals. Possible warranty requirements. Heaters. SWG cell scale. This thread from 2009 that was ongoing for a decade: Calcium hardness and vinyl liners!!

Can someone give me the TL;DR?

I’m sitting at CH 125 and CSI -0.82

For a vinyl lined AGP with a SWG and heat pump with titanium heat exchanger, are we adding a prophylactic dose of CaCl2 to 300-400 or not? Some other number?

Or just save it for salting the driveway?
 
You do not need any CH other than what is needed to keep the water from foaming. Normally 50 ppm is sufficient for that. CSI is not of consequence for you with that fill water CH. Turn it off in Poolmath.
