I was looking at building a liquide chlorine dispenser. I have been inspired by one post on the forum where one of you has used a Shelly smart switch to control the dispenser. As I was already using a Shelly to control the pool system, I rolled up my sleeves and I have designed my own "Chlorinator" (forgive my french !)
I have added to the barrel a faucet in case I need to shower the pool quickly and a brass male garden hose. I am using a small pump that i need to run for 22 minutes to add 60 ounces of chlorine which should be why i need during summer time based on my tests.
I have placed the Shelly in a waterproof electrical junction but the system is protected from the rain and not directly in the sun too.
I can add 14 gallons in the barrel. Very easy to fill up thanks to the brass male garden hose.
Running it now, i will see tomorrow morning the level of chlorine.
