The age old issue: Cloudy water only during and after high bather load

Title says it. I want to know how to stop it, at all costs. It bothers me :)

Commercial pools don't have the issue so why should I? What do I need? a bigger filter system? Pool is always TFP crystal clear and stays that way until a large party (~12+ kids & 10+ adults in pool) . It'll go away in a day after the party. Chems are perfectly balanced, Fcl is always on the higher end before, during and after swim.
To me that seems like a lot of people in a 15k gallon pool. Since it clears up after the heavy load I don't think you have a worry. Also as others have said, commercial pools are not always clear.

I agree, lots of people in a 'smallish' pool. It doesn't worry me in the sense that the pool will turn or there's algea. As others have stated in different threads, it just bothers me that it's TFP clear for me and the fam and I can 'brag' but when there's a giant party (which happens about every weekend at my place), it gets a little cloudy.

I use the scum bug as well during & after parties. Along with a skimmer sock & I also ask like Kelly that people allow their sunscreen to soak in/dry before jumping in. Those things really help cut down on the sheen that ends up on the water & possibly stop it from mixing & causing cloudiness.
It has been my experience that those who don’t have pools of their own often wash their suits w/ all their clothes & use fabric softener which definitely contributes to some mild cloudiness. As well as girls/women with long hair that use alot of conditioner. I usually recommend that the little girls put their hair up since they’re the ones who generally dunk their heads (obviously this prevents the tangling later as well). These things aren’t immediately noticeable in the pool but in the hot tub they are glaringly obvious so i apply the same principles.

One other possible explanation not yet mentioned is that you might have dead algae carcasses on your walls and bottom. I say this as I'm trying to figure out why my pool is crystal clear with excellent chemistry but starts to cloud up when I brush or use the pool vac (no visible dirt or algae from looking at the pool. Try brushing the wall and see if you notice a faint grayish white cloud bloom around where you just brushed. In addition to bathers' sunscreen and sweat being a factor, they also are mixing the water and brushing the walls with their feet and bodies.
