Cold Front is here. It will be 40 tonight and 32 tomorrow. It will not break 70 in the next 10 days and many days will dip below 40. Kinda chilly for Houston.

This past month, I've kept the cover on and supplemented a little with the heater. Maybe 30 hours total (about $60 in gas). But that is with the temps in the 70-80s during the day. No way I can do this economically in December through February.

I'll keep the cover on and see how long the SWG keeps working.

By closing, do you mean covering it and blowing out the lines like you would in the north? That seems like a bit much for a place that usually spends just a handful of hours below freezing all winter.

Hopefully you will do like the rest of us and get a few jugs of liquid chlorine for when the SWCG turns off and call that your winter plan, along with your automation's freeze protection.
