So let me preface, we moved into our house about 1.5 years ago. The previous owners closed the pool prior to us moving in.
Last year I opened to a black swamp. 30 gallons of liquid chlorine. I also cheated a bit by using a flocculant and then vac’d to waste.
Just took the cover off the pool today. 54 degrees and clear. I did find my cover starting to shed so I have some fine pieces of tarp at the bottom. As soon as I get enough water in the pool, time to fire up the pump and I’ll vac that stuff out.
What a difference in opening up the pool. Last year was my first time closing. Follow the TFP process and you won’t have any problems! Cheers ?, happy swimming, stay healthy, and God bless.
