Thanks for the tip Dave I have wondered about what to do with that. Tried water over night and twisting a towel with little effectiveness was afraid soap might leave residue and affect the test.
I too have used MA in my tube without problems, but someone recently mentioned using rubbing alcohol.
Since I had a small bottle of "swimmer's ear drops" hanging around (and it is basically just rubbing alcohol) I squeezed some in to the chlorine tube that gets gunked up and swirled it around and let sit while i performed other tests. Works great! I rinsed it and wiped it out with the paper towel I use when I perform my tests and the test vial is clear as new. I'm going to just refill it the ear drops bottle with rubbing alcohol and keep it in the test kit from now on.
