From April 2016 to July 22, 2017 using TFP methodologies and recommended test kit (TF-100)

Number of times cc's have shown up on test 0

Number of super chlorination events 0

Number of PH required adjustments
after following recommendations to slowly
adjust TA and get the buffer just right so as
to maximize stabilization of PH 0

Number of chemicals added to pool in
addition to chlorine and CYA 0

Number of days of crystal clear pool
even immediately after pulling off
winter cover ALL

Number of days unsure of what to do
or not understanding what my pool is
doing 0

Number of days regretting not following
pool store advice or taking water sample
to them* 0

Number of days I think to myself...I'm sure
glad I found TFP on the web when I searched due to
the fact that I questioned why the pool store associate told
me to quit adding stabilized chlorine products,
because my CYA was 68 and I didn't need to get it any higher,
and therefore, I was very confused as to why this happened
to begin with when I had added no CYA, or so I thought. ALL

* Local pool store personnel and management are good people. They help me often with equipment issues and give me good value on ladders and other equipment when I need them, but when it comes to chemical care, they just don't know what they don't know. I blame the chemical companies. They are the ones who know what they teach us is wrong!

Greg,

We are all glad that you found us and have had so many "zero" days...

Here is to the next three years of zeros... :super:

Sure. I'll check in to it. Where do I go to sign up? Used to be about supporting by purchasing TF-100 via the link on the site. This site is worth more than that. Test kit's worth its weight in gold. Don't need no stinking badges, but I'll take one anyway; besides, I am a federale even without a stinking badge! Been a while since on the forum. Just checking in with my pool saviors. Can't believe so many people keep doing it the hard way even when I tell them about this easy way. Some people prefer fixing over prevention is all I can figure.

I'm only 2 months in and just laugh at my boss who refuses to visit this site and has algae outbreaks on a regular basis. He thinks I'm a nut job because I've been using liquid bleach until I just turned on the SWG. How could I possibly know more than the pool store he's frequented a decade...that's what he's thinking. 48 consecutive days of the family swimming in crystal clear water. My biggest surprise is people like my boss who think battling algae outbreaks is a normal part of pool ownership and that a monthly visit to the pool store and hundreds of dollars is normal.
