I got the deluxe or whatever kit that came with a digital pH meter, which is nice because it can test Cl even when it's above the range of the drop test.
The pH side of the K-1000 kit (that comes with the TF-100) is reliable for reading pH. The CL (OTO) side will indicate the presence of chlorine, only reads up to CL of 5 and is not as accurate as the TF-100 FAS-DPD - which will read up to 50 ppm in either 0.5 or 0.2 increments (based on sample size).
