I am diy a pool and i am currently testing pipes and equipment with water. I am at 30 psi and everything seems so be holding well, will pushing it more would it damage the equipment? I have two pentair pumps, the filter and a small pentair mastertemp heater.

Your Pentair filter is most likely max 50psi. 30 to 40 psi max should be suffice for all your equipment pad plumbing.
I have a DE filter and a single speed pump. My maximum pressure I have reached on my system is 30psi, it normally operates at 20-25psi. So fix what you can but your pressures should not get to 40psi doing normal operations.
