Testing FC using less reagent

I just started my SLAM and need to maintain FC at 16. I feel like I remember seeing a way you can test FC using less drops. Could someone remind me how to do this?

FC TESTING (REAGENT) VARIATIONS
5ml sample, multiply drop count by 1 (used to save on reagent; not as precise)
10ml sample, multiply drop count by 0.5 (standard method)
25ml sample, multiply drop count by 0.2 (used for extreme precision)

The amount of powder doesn't affect the test once there is enough to turn the sample a good red color.
