Test results as of this morning from the pool I inherited. Looks like I have some work ahead of me. First time pool owner--please be gentle!
4000gal, pool/spa combo, SWG currently at 30% (this was the setting I inherited and have not changed, yet). Palm Springs--direct sun ~10hrs per day this time of year with air temp between 105-110.
Free Chlorine 14ppm
Total Chlorine 14ppm
pH 8
TA 61
Calcium Hardness 900
CYA 103
Salt 4138
Phosphates 1213
I think the first order of biz would be to drain about 1-2' and add fresh water to get the calcium down but not sure. Your suggestions are welcome as I navigate and educate myself on pool care, equipment, and water chemistry!
