Test results back!

So now, remind us where you are at ... are there issues? Do you need to go through the shock process? What are you questions?

You will first need to add some CYA and lower the pH and get some FC in the pool.

opening the pool, i had shocked it but the pool pump was off for about 3 days while I was fixing it. Just curious what to add to get everything balanced the way it should be. water was crystal clear up until today, a LITTLE cloudy but not bad, might have something to do with the rain we got I think. But am curious what to add, how much and what order...

I would add about 20ppm more CYA, lower the pH, and start the shock process. Then recheck the CYA in a week. Once you finish the shock process. Raise the CYA up to around 70ppm, add salt, circulate for 24 hours and fire up the SWG.

Use poolcalulator.com to determine how much of each chemical to add.

The order I listed. Get the CYA dissolving, lower the pH, then start adding chlorine. These can all be done within about hour. The most important is to adjust the pH BEFORE you raise the FC > 10ppm.

Then ignore pH until the FC is < 10ppm.

Jasons right - the CYA may lower the PH a tad bit so add it first. ;-)

I don't even really take that into consideration since it dissolves so slowly, no point in waiting a week to see how much the pH dropped from the CYA ... it should be minor enough to not matter.
